CHARLOTTE, N.C. – Charlotte Hornets forward Miles Bridges is expected to miss two weeks after suffering a knee injury during the fourth quarter of Wednesday’s win over the Detroit Pistons.
Bridges hyperextended his right knee while going for a block attempt on a shot from Jaden Ivey. An MRI revealed that he suffered a bone bruise in his right knee.
The 26-year-old forward has already been ruled out for Friday’s matchup against the Indiana Pacers. He will be reevaluated in two weeks.
Bridges has started in every game this season, averaging 14.6 points and 6.8 rebounds per game. He is in the first year of a three-year, $75-million-dollar contract signed this offseason.
