Another storm system is spreading in cloudy skies with spotty rain chances into Friday morning. A few heavy thunderstorms may develop, but these will mainly be limited to areas to the west of DFW.
A better chance of widespread showers and thunderstorms arrives Friday afternoon. Some heavy rain is possible, especially toward evening. While the severe threat is low, there could be some gusty winds and small hail with the stronger storms. (The area is under a LEVEL 1 (Marginal Risk) for severe thunderstorms). Rain totals could exceed 1 inch in DFW and could be over 2 inches farther west.
The weekend is looking nice with sunshine. Highs will hold in the upper-60s to lower-70s. Lows will fall into the upper-40s to mid-50s.
