ROCHESTER, N.Y. (WROC) — Molina Healthcare of New York is partnering with Ibero-American Action League to host free health screenings. These health screenings were for Molina members in the Rochester area. Members received preventative screenings for health issues such as diabetes, blood pressure, and behavioral health checks. "What we're hoping to do with this program is to reduce or maybe even eliminate those barriers to ensure that the community and our members and particularly members here at Ibero, that they no longer feel intimidated by this big thing called healthcare and health insurance, that they know what their options are with the ultimate goal of improving the health, wellness and quality of their lives," said Joiel Ray-Alexander, director of growth and community engagement for Molina. Health education materials were also also made available.
