HS Girls Soccer Wrap: Allentown can’t climb the Wall in CJ II quarterfinals

WALL TWP. — The Allentown High girls soccer team had its season come to an end following a 2-1 loss to Wall in the Central Group II quarterfinals on Thursday.
The second-seeded Crimson Knights (17-2-1) grabbed a two-goal lead in the first half thanks to goals from Samantha Brett and Sophia Koepping before the seventh-seeded Redbirds (13-8-1) got back in it through Martha Olorunnisola in the second half.
Wall faces third-seeded Cinnaminson in Monday’s semifinal round.
Central Group III
Brick Memorial 2, Steinert 1
BRICK TWP. — First-half goals from Brooke DeAlmeida and Lila Hopkins were enough to power the second-seeded Mustangs (10-7-1) past the seventh-seeded Spartans (9-10-2). Steinert cut the deficit in half thanks to a goal from Mia Garofalo, but couldn’t find an equalizer.
Brick Memorial meets third-seeded Jackson Memorial in the semifinals. The winner of that game faces either Hopewell Valley or Lawrence in the sectional final.

Bishop Eustace 2, PDS 0
PENNSAUKEN — A goal in each half sent the second-seeded Crusaders (11-5-2) past the seventh-seeded Panthers (8-9-1).
