RIO RANCHO, N.M. (KRQE) – Rio Rancho Police released new details about the shooting death of 15-year-old Adrian Maestas. The teen was shot in the head on Oct. 30 in the area of area of Inca Road and 2nd St. SE. Police said a group of individuals who knew each other met to resolve an ongoing dispute. The interaction led to an exchange of gunfire where Maestas was hit. He was taken to an area hospital where he later died due to injuries. Officials also said all evidence is being processed in order to criminally charge the person(s) responsible for the death.
