$100,000 broadband planning award for Navajo Technical University

NEW MEXICO (KRQE) – Navajo Technical University will receive a $100,000 planning award to help plan for deployment of fixed wireless internet services in underserved populations on the Navajo Nation.

Planning will include working with students, grant funding and preparation for engineering and quotes for service. The award is being given by the Office of Broadband Access and Expansion (OBAE) as part of the state's Grant Writing, Engineering and Planning Program (GWEP).
"This is a great use for these funds, and this important award will help deliver better, faster internet speeds to NTU's students and the community.," OBAE Project Manager Eric Rodgers said in a release.
