4time Olympian Ashley Caldwell joins Deer Valley’s ‘Ski with a Champion’ roster

Deer Valley announced Thursday that it is inviting guests to ski with one of seven Olympic Snowsport athletes this winter, including the newest addition, Freestyle Aerialist Ashley Caldwell. All athletes are available to ski with individuals, families and groups for exclusive half- and full-days at the resort. Half-days are $1,470 for the regular season and $1,655 for the high season. Full-days are $2,570 for the regular season and $2,845 for the high season.The high-season dates are Dec. 20-Jan. 4, Jan. 17-20, Feb. 7-22 and March 1-April 5.The Ski with a Champion experience is available to participants at least 7 years of age, and adults must accompany children 12 and under. The maximum group size is six people. Lift tickets are not included, and some skiing experience is required, the resort said.“We know visitors this season will enjoy the rare opportunity to ski with Olympian and pioneer of the sport, Ashley Caldwell,” said Deer Valley Vice President of Marketing Susie English. “Each athlete of our Ski with a Champion program brings their unique talent and perspective to Deer Valley’s slopes, and we encourage guests to reserve their experience today.” Caldwell is a four-time Olympian and Olympic Gold medalist in the sport of Freestyle Aerial skiing, the resort said. “Originally from Virginia and now living in Park City, Ashley quickly rose to prominence as a fearless and talented aerialist competing in her first Olympics at 16 years old, after only competing two years,” the resort said in a press release. “Ashley made history by becoming the first woman ever to successfully land the quadruple-twisting, triple-flipping jump, called the ‘Daddy,’ earning her a world record for the hardest acrobatic trick ever done by a woman.” Caldwell won the 2022 Winter Olympic Games in Mixed Team Aerials with her two teammates, Justin Schoenefeld and Chris Lillis, and is now one of the most decorated American Aerialists of all time, according to the resort, who added that Caldwell loves skiing with all ages and abilities around the whole mountain. Off the slopes, Caldwell is recognized for her dedication to promoting gender equality in sports and beyond, the resort said. She has two master’s degrees from the University of Utah in Real Estate and Law and now works in real estate private equity.
