PRINCE GEORGE COUNTY, Va. (WRIC) -- A 17-year-old boy is dead after he was hit by a car while skateboarding in Prince George County.
At about 7:45 p.m. on Wednesday, Oct. 30, Prince George first responders were called to the 3100 block of Prince George Drive for report of a pedestrian struck. This scene is near the county's line with Hopewell, so units from the city also responded.
Investigators determined that a 17-year-old boy was riding his skateboard in the northbound lane of Prince George Drive when he was hit by a car, according to the Prince George County Police Department.

The teenager was taken to a local hospital with life-threatening injuries, then later transported to an area medical center for further treatment. According to police, he later died on Saturday, Nov. 2.
The driver of the striking vehicle has not been charged at this time.
