Nov 07, 2024
HANOVER COUNTY, Va. (WRIC) -- Hanover County is hosting its third-annual "Caregiver Expo," a free event dedicated to those who take care of older adults.
The expo will be held from 9 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. on Thursday, Nov. 14, at the Montpelier Recreation Center and Library, which is located at 15302 Clazemont Road.
There will be local vendors, door prizes, giveaways, refreshments and more. Multiple attending organizations will also hand out helpful resources, according to the county.
Such resources include information on At Home Harmony, which is a new GUIDE (Guiding an Improved Dementia Experience) program under Medicare that provides at-home services for caregivers of those with dementia. Additionally, Hanover County Fire-EMS will share details on a new Senior Prevention and Awareness (SPARC) program with those interested.
