Man charged after dead, emaciated dogs found at home

MEMPHIS, Tenn. — A man in the Nutbush neighborhood has been charged with cruelty to animals after police say they found a dead dog in a trash bag at his home.
Police arrested 34-year-old Daryl Music on six count of aggravated animal cruelty.
According to police, one dog was found alive in a caged area in the back yard on Reenie Avenue and four more were found alive in the house. All were described as emaciated, living in filthy conditions.
Police confirmed one dog was found deceased in a black trash bag.
But there is another very disturbing side to this story.
Daryl Music
In 2016, Music was charged with having sexual activity with a dog. Music is under a court order not to possess, harbor, handle or control any animals inside Shelby County.
Neighbor Aidan Dunagan was still upset over what he witnessed Wednesday at his neighbor's home.
"Honestly, I'm kind of glad he went to jail. He was kind of a nuisance around here," Dunagan said. "It was like around one o'clock p.m. and I came outside and I saw a bunch of cops out here, and then I saw Daryl standing right over there in hand cuffs."

Dunagan, who owns a dog named Bailey, heard of what Music was accused of in 2016 and for that reason, he wouldn't let him near his dog. He chose to steer clear.
"He could flip a switch real easily, get real mad easily, but he didn't seem like the kind of person to mess with dogs like that," Dunagan said.
Music is in jail on $7,500 bond.
