Diocese of El Paso to hold 27th annual binational border mass

EL PASO, Texas (KTSM) — The Diocese of El Paso will be hosting the 26th annual bi-national border mass this Saturday, Nov. 9, on the border between El Paso and Juarez, the Diocese said in a press release.
The annual mass will be at 10 a.m. this Saturday at the Rio Grande Canal by the American Dam near the Smeltertown Historical Park off of Paisano and Executive Center Boulevard.
The mass will bring together communities from Juarez, El Paso, and Las Cruces to "pray for the migrants that have lost their lives attempting to migrate into the United States at the southern border, and the continued prayers of the Catholic faithful for the continuing needs of the migrant from South and Central America," the Diocese said.
"The Border Mass will be celebrated in a worship space in the center of the border where TheUnited States and Mexico meet. The Border Mass will be concelebrated by The Most ReverendJose Guadalupe Torres Campos, Bishop of the Diocese of Cd. Juarez, Chihuahua, and theMost Reverend Peter Baldacchino, Bishop of the Diocese of Las Cruces, New Mexico," the Diocese said.
