DENVER (KDVR) -- More than 300 flights were delayed in and out of the Denver International Airport on Thursday morning, as the mid-week snowstorm left over a foot of snow in some areas of the state with more on the way. Three Pinpoint Weather Alert Days have been issued from Wednesday through Friday for slick and snowy conditions that will last until Saturday morning. Already, there have been multiple crashes, traffic jams and several inches of heavy snow. The airport also saw the most delays in the country as of Thursday morning. Denver weather: What to expect as snow falls through end of week According to FlightAware, there have been 328 flights delayed heading out of DIA as of Thursday at 12:30 p.m., which is causing about an hour of delays. Meanwhile, 197 flights heading into the airport have also been delayed on Thursday. So far, only 8 flights have been canceled heading to and from DIA. That said, the storm is just getting started. The Pinpoint Weather team expects the snow to have the most impact on Friday night into Saturday, where several more inches could fall.
