SALISBURY, N.C. – Deputies are investigating an armed robbery at an arcade in Salisbury early Tuesday morning, according to the Rowan County Sheriff’s Office.
Around 2:30 a.m. Tuesday, deputies responded to a “panic alarm” at the Lucky Charm Skills Arcade off South Main Street.
Deputies said two employees were leaving the arcade when they were approached by four men dressed in all black. The suspects were wearing hoodies and masks to cover their faces.
The suspects allegedly forced the two employees back into the arcade at gunpoint. They told one of the employees to lay prone on the floor at gunpoint, the sheriff’s office said.
The suspects also wanted the ATM machine opened but the employees didn’t have the key to open it.
The men eventually left after a short period, but made the employees stay in the bathroom as they left, deputies said.
Investigators said the suspects took cash and personal belongings to the employees, including a handgun.
