Suspect Identified In Connection To Uptown Shooting

Police have identified a suspect in connection with the Uptown shooting that killed 32-year-old Jamario Caldwell.
Homicide detectives traveled to Maryland to arrested 39-year-old Corey Livingston. He will be extradited back to Mecklenburg County and be charged with murder.

CHARLOTTE, N.C. – One man is dead following a suspected shooting near Uptown Charlotte on Tuesday.
Police started their investigation on Winding Path Way near Seigle Point Drive. Officers say they located an unoccupied vehicle and multiple shell casings.
Shortly after, officers responded to Davidson Street and E 12th Street around 9:10 a.m. Upon arrival officers witnessed a man suffering from a gunshot wound. The Charlotte Fire Department and Medic arrived soon after and pronounced the man dead on scene.
Detectives are working through the connection between the two incidents.
This investigation is active and ongoing.
