PRINCE GEORGE'S COUNTY, Md. (DC News Now) -- The Prince George's County State's Attorney's Office said a man is being held without bond after he was charged with his brother's murder. The Attorney's Office said that on Nov. 4, 28-year-old Brilyen Kelly, of Landover, and his brother 23-year-old Semi Kelly, got into a fight in the driveway of their home in the 8600 block of Reicher Street. PREVIOUS COVERAGE | Man charged with murder after stabbing brother to death in Prince George’s County, police say Witnesses said during the fight, Kelly allegedly took out a weapon and used it to stab his brother, according to officials. After the incident, Kelly left the area and then returned. When police arrived, they found Semi with stab wounds to his upper body. He was taken to the hospital where he died. Kelly was arrested at the scene and charged with first and second-degree murder. During the hearing, the judge agreed with the state's argument that Kelly was a danger to the community and a flight risk. “We are pleased that he will remain in custody, and our office, specifically the Special Victims Unit will work diligently to handle this very sensitive case. In addition to that, our office is actively collaborating with the Office of the Sheriff and other resource partners to help prevent family violence,” said State’s Attorney Aisha Braveboy. The Prince George's County State's Attorney's Office is working with police for additional details.
