In Class A, defending state champ Lincoln Southwest fell in five sets to Millard West, while Lincoln North Star was swept in three-sets by top-seed Papillion-LaVista South. In Class B, Norris swept Lincoln Pius X in three sets. The Titans play Friday at 5pm against Elkhorn North. Waverly swept Bennington in three sets Wednesday morning to set up a semifinal match Friday at 7pm against nine-time defending state champ Omaha Skutt, who won in five sets Wednesday morning over Gretna. Thursday in Class C2, two-time defending state champ Lincoln Lutheran plays Hastings St. Cecilia at 5pm. The Warriors are also going for their fourth-straight state title dating back to 2021, when they won it in Class C1.
