CHARLOTTE, N.C. (WGHP) — The Carolina Panthers have secured the services of one of the team's breakout superstars for the long term.
NFL Network's Ian Rapoport reports that the Panthers and running back Chubba Hubbard have agreed to a four-year-$33-million contract extension with the team.
The deal has a maximum value amount $37.2 million and comes with $15 million guaranteed.
Hubbard, 25, was drafted by Carolina in the fourth round of the 2021 NFL Draft.
After a slow start to his rookie season that was plagued by drop issues, Hubbard has emerged as one of the Panthers breakout players following the trade of Christian McCaffrey in 2022.
