CHIPPEWA FALLS, Wis. (WFRV) - A brewery steeped in Wisconsin tradition is closing two of its Dairy State locations beginning early next year, Molson Coors announced on Wednesday. According to a Worker Adjustment and Retention Notification (WARN) letter submitted to the Wisconsin Department of Workforce Development, Molson Coors Beverage Company has decided to cease production and permanently close the Leinenkugel's Brewery in Chippewa Falls and the Tenth Street Brewery location in Milwaukee. Former Packer and Super Bowl XLV champion John Kuhn released from Wisconsin radio gig Officials did note that Leinie's Lodge and the adjacent pilot brewery will remain operational. As a result of the Chippewa Falls closure, 54 employees will have their employment "permanently separated" around January 17, 2025, with two other employees terminated on February 14 and February 28, 2025, respectively. A second WARN letter for the Milwaukee location states that 34 employees are scheduled to be laid off around the same dates as the Chippewa Falls location. The Leinenkugel's Brewery in Chippewa Falls is located at 124 East Elm Street.
