Police use stun gun to capture suspect after high speed chase in Fort Wayne Wednesday night

FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WANE) Police used a stun gun to subdue a man after a high-speed chase in Fort Wayne Wednesday evening.
The chase began shortly before 8 p.m. when detectives with the Gang & Violent Crimes Unit saw a man known to be wanted on an active warrant get into an orange Dodge Charger in a neighborhood southeast of the intersection of South Anthony and Paulding according to a news release from the Fort Wayne Police Department.
When the Charger pulled away, police attempted to make a traffic stop and the car drove off. Ahigh-speed chase ensued that last for about 10 minutes. The chase ended when police were able to deflate the car's tires. The suspect then got out of the Charger and two pistols fell out of his waistband as he fled. Police used a stun gun on the suspect and after a short struggle he was taken into custody.
The suspect has been identified as Cantrell James, 31, of Fort Wayne. A search of the Charger turned up approximately four grams of cocaine.
He's facing multiple felony charges.
