HAMPTON COUNTY, S.C. (WCBD) – Le Creuset, popular for its cookware, bakeware, and kitchen tools, is expanding Hampton County operations.
The company announced a $30 million investment to construct a 300,000-square-foot distribution facility off Bob Gifford Road, which would generate 30 new jobs when completed.
“We are thrilled Le Creuset is expanding its distribution operations in Hampton County and creating more job opportunities in the local community. When a global company like Le Creuset expands in our state, it is further proof that South Carolina has the environment and workforce businesses need to find long-term success,” said South Carolina Governor Henry McMaster.
According to Gov. Henry McMaster’s office, operations are expected to be online in March 2026. Those interested in joining the Le Creuset team can find open positions on the company’s career page.
Gregory Cario, CEO of Le Creuset of America, said the company was excited to break ground on the distribution facility and said it will enhance operations while also creating meaningful job opportunities in the county.
“This initiative underscores our unwavering commitment to the community and its residents while fostering economic opportunities in the region,” he added.
The company, founded in France in 1925, manufactures and distributes premium, enameled cast-iron cookware and stainless steel, stoneware, and other kitchenware for customers around the world.
The company established its South Carolina presence in 1974 and opened its primary U.S. distribution operations in Hampton County in 1997.
