GONZALES, La. (BRPROUD) — A Gonzales restaurant is whipping up Louisiana classics you can enjoy to prepare for the big Friday night games. It's expanding across the state. Pot and Paddle is known for its jambalaya, etouffee and other Louisiana staples. Co-owner Chuck Lavigne said it's geared toward working people who want good food on their lunch breaks. "People who only have 30 minutes can come here, sit down, enjoy and still make it back," Lavigne said. Lavigne said the menu is reminiscent of his childhood. "My mom would cook, dad would cook, grandmother would cook," Lavigne said. Pot and Paddle is open from 10:30 a.m. to 7 p.m. Mondays through Saturdays and is closed on Sundays.
