A night of fun, food and great music is planned for the Community Cat Companions benefit event on Nov. 23 at Lake Metroparks Painesville Township Park Community Center. This special event is all about bringing together the community for a great cause while enjoying the soft rock hits from the ’60s to the ’80s, performed live by one of Northeast Ohio’s premier bands, Ricky & The Rockets, according to a release from the nonprofit group. The event will be from 5 to 9 p.m. at the Community Center, 1025 Hardy Road, Painesville Township. The band performance will begin at 6 p.m. In addition to live music and dancing, there will be a basket raffle, 50/50 raffles and Plinko. The evening’s menu will feature Italian favorites, including: Chicken parmigiana, pasta with meatballs on the side, garlic bread, fresh salad and dessert. Vegan and vegetarian options will be available upon request. Beverages include beer, wine, soft drinks, and even specialty seasonal drinks — perfect for both those enjoying a night out and designated drivers. Anyone who purchases tickets before Nov. 16 will be entered into a special drawing for a rock music-themed basket valued at over $150.
