Norton, 49-28 On deck: Winner will face the winner of (3) Streetsboro and (6) Canal Fulton Northwest For the record: Struthers’ only losses this year are to undefeated South Range and 9-2 Poland, while Perry’s only loss is a triple-overtime defeat at the hands of Kirtland. … Struthers has run the ball effectively this year with Devin Braham (166 yards per game, 22 touchdowns) doing the most damage. He’s a 5-11, 205-pound back with power and speed, one who has run for 1,827 yards so far this season. Freshman Tyler Cole has run for more than 600 yards as well. Struthers is pretty much a running team, as it has only thrown 48 passes this season. Junior Anthony Pastella completed two passes for 56 yards in last week’s win over Norton. … Perry had no trouble in hammering Akron Buchtel last week. Walter Moses threw for 229 yards and three touchdowns, with Luke Sivon catching four passes for 132 yards and two scores. Chris Bezzeg ran for two touchdowns and caught a TD pass as well. For the season, Carter Hopkins has run for more than 800 yards. Perry’s defense — particularly its run defense — will be in the spotlight in this game. Conversely, Struthers and its run offense can’t afford to get down multiple scores to the high-scoring Pirates.
