INDIANAPOLIS - Officers with the Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department are investigating a deadly shooting that occurred late Wednesday night on the near east side of Indianapolis. According to IMPD, just after 11 p.m. officers received a report of a person shot in the 1200 block of East Washington St. When officers arrived, they reportedly found a man with a gunshot wound behind a home. The man was pronounced deceased at the scene. Details are limited, but IMPD said that the victim and several individuals were visiting friends when some type of disturbance broke out and shots were fired.
