UPDATE: Nov. 6 at 7 p.m. (LEX 18) According to Kentucky State Police, the individual who shot two officers in Bowling Green during a mental health crisis Wednesday morning was shot and killed during the incident. Two Bowling Green Police officers responded to the call about an individual having a mental health crisis, KSP reports. That individual became combative, attempting to disarm an officer and gaining control of a weapon, firing in the director of the two. One of the officers discharged their firearm, striking the individual, who sustained life-threatening injuries and was pronounced dead on scene. Both officers have now been released from the hospital, and the incident remains under investigation.
