MADISON, Wis. (WFRV) – Authorities in Madison are searching for a driver involved in a deadly accident that claimed the life of a dog on Wednesday morning. The incident occurred around 8:00 a.m. when a woman and her dog were crossing Highland Avenue at Kendall Avenue in the crosswalk. 70-year-old Wisconsin man dies in single-vehicle crash on U.S. Highway 10 A vehicle, turning south on Highland Avenue, allegedly failed to yield to them, hitting and killing the dog, which was on a leash. The woman was unharmed. One dead, another injured in 2-vehicle Algoma crash, cause under investigation The driver stopped briefly but left the scene, heading southbound on Highland Avenue toward Regent Street.
