(WOLO)– The Richland County Sheriff’s Department has arrested a woman accused in a deadly shooting.  According to authorities, the Richland County Sheriff’s Department received a call for shots fired around 3 pm Wednesday afternoon. When deputies arrived at the Hedgefield Court cul-de-sac they discover one victim suffering from as gunshot wound to the upper body. The male victim was taken to the hospital by emergency personnel but died from their injuries a short time later. Authorities say they were able to secure the scene where they were given information that the alleged gunman was still at the location of the shooting. Officials say they located  and have taken the suspect, 46 year old Charnika Wright into custody. At last check, Wright was still in the process of being booked, but after she is officials say she will be placed behind bars at Alvin S. Glenn Detention Center. She has been charged with one count of murder and possession of a weapon during a violent crime. During further investigation into the incident, RCSD investigators were able to determine the murder was the result of a dispute between neighbors. Categories: Local News, News, Richland
