CHARLOTTE, N.C. – The Carolina Panthers will play the New York Giants in Munich this weekend. It’ll be the Panthers’ first-ever game in Germany. The team has released plans for fans traveling to Munich. A local Munich pub will be transformed into the Carolina Panthers Team Pub. The Augustiner Stammhaus in downtown Munich will serve as the Panthers Team Pub from November 8 and 9. The team will host a fan festival, Panthers Fan Fest, on November 8 and 9 starting at 12 noon at Wittelsbacherplatz. The Fan Fest will feature an English and German host, interviews with Legends, live podcasting and entertainment appearances on stage. Fan activities include free rickshaw rides from Dr Pepper Germany, a football toss, field goal kick, giveaways, music, food, beer and more. A Carolina Panthers-themed Daimler Truck freightliner will also be parked around the corner in Odeonsplatz for fans to enjoy.
Also, the Panthers have teamed up with Daimler Truck to transport more than 70 U.S. Military members and their families to the game Sunday at Allianz Arena. Local Charlotte-owned business Girl Tribe Co. will debut a capsule collection in Munich to commemorate the game. There will be limited pieces available in the U.S. beginning Nov. 13.
The team has also planned several community relations events including a flag football clinic with 120 local youth and teachers, and a food distribution event for local families.
