PORT WENTWORTH, Ga. (WSAV) – The Port Wentworth Police Department hosted a ribbon-cutting ceremony on Wednesday for a new training facility. The facility will be used for a variety of training exercises, including firearms classes, community policing/de-escalation classes and active shooter response. “The Port Wentworth Police Department is pleased to be opening this facility not only for our department but for the region," said Training Coordinator, Lt. Austin Neumann.
