Stillwater elections: Belland and Odebrecht win city council seats

Lindsay Belland and incumbent Larry Odebrecht won seats on the Stillwater City Council in the Tuesday, Nov. 5, 2024, election and 1 out of 1 precincts reporting.
Belland received almost 53% of the vote while Sirid Kellermann received 47% of votes for the Ward 2 seat. Odebrecht won almost 67% of votes and challenger Ed Nelsen received just over 32% for Ward 3.
In addition to serving on the city council, Odebrecht currently is on the planning commission, as well as the League of Minnesota Cities Board. Odebrecht’s priorities include strengthening Stillwater’s infrastructure, fostering community engagement, keeping taxes low and supporting affordable housing for veterans, teachers and public safety workers, according to answers to a Pioneer Press candidate survey.
Belland did not provide responses.
