CHESTERFIELD COUNTY, Va. (WRIC) -- Recently, GRAMMY award-winning singer-songwriter Jelly Roll returned to the Chesterfield County Jail to visit its inmates.
The talented multi-genre singer-songwriter Jelly Roll visited inmates at the Chesterfield County Jail who are a part of the Helping Addicts Recover Progressively (HARP) program for the second time.
HARP is a voluntary jail-based treatment and recovery program for inmates who have struggled with addiction challenges.
The program has an account on TikTok that features videos of the inmates at the jail showing their talents -- which they eventually started tagging Jelly Roll in. Although the singer said he had already discovered them before being tagged, he and the staff arranged the visits to surprise the men and women in the program.
