Breakdown of Bakersfield City Council races, CD20 and AD32

BAKERSFIELD, Calif. (KGET) -- 17 News Political reporter Jenny Huh gave a breakdown of Bakersfield City Council races, Congressional District 20 and Assembly District 32 preliminary results.
Larry Koman leads the race in the Bakersfield City Council Ward 5 race. Koman has a total of 6,197 votes and has a 372 votes leads over Mike Madrigal ( 5,825) and Kevin Oliver (2,539).

In the Ward 6 race, Republican candidate Zachary Bashirtash has earned 37% of the vote, 4,077 votes total, and leads by 606.
Incumbent Vince Fong is set to replace Kevin McCarthy's seat in Congress. Fong has a wide lead over Mike Boudreaux. According to preliminary vote count, Fong has 119,720 votes, compared to Boudreaux's 63,490. Fong leads over Boudreaux by 56,230 votes.
