Multiple Kern County firefighter Strike Teams sent to Mountain Fire

BAKERSFIELD, Calif. (KGET) -- Kern County fire resources are being diverted to a Ventura County fire that erupted to 9,000 acres Wednesday afternoon.
The Kern County Fire Department says a "Charlie" Strike Team, "Hand Crew" Strike Team, "Lima" Strike Team and a "Bravo" Strike Team were dispatched to the Mountain Fire in Ventura County on Nov. 6.
Mountain Fire explodes to 10,000 acres; countless homes destroyed
The "Charlie" team consists of 5 off-road fire engines along with 22 firefighters, and the "Hand Crew" team brings two, 23-person hand crews. Officials say the "Lima" team brings two dozers and dozer tenders along with 7 firefighters, and the "Bravo" team consists of 5 fire engines as well as 22 firefighters.
The Mountain Fire began at about 8:51 a.m., near Balcom Canyon and Bradley roads, according to CalFire.
KCFD officials say it is a privilege to assist other communities after a historic fire season in Kern.
