The National Weather Service told fire officials that wind gusts in the impacted area were hitting 30 miles per hour. Much of the San Francisco Bay Area is under a red flag warning through Thursday morning due to critical fire weather conditions, which includes the high winds.
The San Francisco Department of Building Inspection and the construction contractor responded to mitigate the scaffolding failure. At 9:23 a.m., the San Francisco Department of Emergency Management announced the incident was resolved.
