CHICOPEE, Mass. (WWLP) - "Keep the change, ya filthy animal!', if you guessed it, Home Alone is the No. 1 most Googled Christmas movie, according to search data analyzed by U4GM. The most Googled Halloween movie in Massachusetts A study conducted by U4GM analyzed Google searches in December 2023 of the most popular Christmas movies. It may not be a surprise that Home Alone ranked No. 1 overall with just over four million searches. The first film was released in 1990, followed by five more movies. Edging in the No. 2 spot is The Grinch, a Christmas classic with 3.3 million searches. According to U4GM, the 2018 version ranks second with 3.3 million searches, while the 2000 Jim Carrey version comes in seventh with 1.2 million searches.
