SHREVEPORT, La. (KTAL/KMSS) — Speaker of the House Congressman Mike Johnson's 4th Congressional District seat was challenged after he ran unopposed in his previous re-election bid. The Louisiana Democratic Party opted not to put an opposition candidate up against the power of Johnson's speakership. Instead, a political unknown, Joshua Morott, announced that he would take on the might of the GOP in a bid to unseat Johnson. The power of the GOP and former President Donald Trump at the top of the ticket proved too much for Morott, as Johnson won significantly.
