MEMPHIS, Tenn. -- A man is dead after a shooting overnight near a bar in Central Gardens. Memphis Police say they responded to the shooting call five minutes after 1 a.m. at 322 South Cleveland St., Louis Connolly's Bar for Fun Times and Friendship. A man was pronounced dead on the scene. Police say the suspect fled the area on foot. MPD says the victim and suspect were involved in a verbal altercation before the shooting.
