Man accused of attacking former bosses, trying to steal checks

MEMPHIS, Tenn. -- A man was arrested after police say he tried to steal multiple checks from his former place of work and attacked the managers of the business.
According to reports, on June 27, around 9 p.m., McKale Reeves walked into La Fogata Bar and Grill on Malco Way for his final paycheck at the business where he previously worked.

Police say while retrieving his check, he used physical force to take several additional checks from one of his former managers. He allegedly grabbed her by her wrists, threw her against the wall, and began kicking her.
Reeves allegedly grabbed several blank checks from the victim's checkbook and then walked outside and got a gun from his car.

Reports say when he walked back into the restaurant another manager walked up to him. He allegedly hit her in the abdomen, knocking her against the wall.
A former coworker then escorted Reeves from the business.
Reeves was arrested on Tuesday and charged with Robbery and Simple Assault. He is currently being held on an $18,000 bond.
