2 injured after reported dive rescue on north side of Indianapolis

INDIANAPOLIS -- Two individuals were injured after first responders conducted a dive rescue of a vehicle in a pond on the north side of Indianapolis Wednesday morning.
At around 10:02 a.m., officials with the Indianapolis Fire Department, along with other first responders like the Wayne Township and Pike Township fire departments, were dispatched to the area of W. 86th St. and Township Line Rd. on a report of a working dive rescue.
A car was found in a pond located near the Bureau of Motor Vehicles location off Lake Circle Drive. Officials on the scene said that two individuals from inside the car were transported to a local hospital with unknown injuries. No other cars were involved in the incident.
Officials with the Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department are handling the investigation.
