EBRSO: Agents arrest two men after Baton Rouge drug investigation

BATON ROUGE, La. (BRPROUD) -- Two arrests were made in Baton Rouge in connection to a drug investigation.
The East Baton Rouge Sheriff's Office said agents arrested Jarvis Pearson, 30, after hours of surveillance at a Balis Drive home in October and November. A search led to investigators finding and seizing 3.8 grams of powder fentanyl, 43.9 grams of powder cocaine, 5.9 grams of crack cocaine, 5.3 grams of marijuana, two digital scales, plastic baggies and cutting agent and $7,164. One gun was seized in the search.
According to EBRSO, two children were found in the apartment alone during the search warrant. The Louisiana Department of Children and Family Services were notified.
Pearson was arrested on a bench warrant for possession of a Schedule II drug, possession with intent to distribute fentanyl, possession with intent to distribute powder cocaine, possession with intent to distribute crack cocaine, possession of CDS in presence of a juvenile and possession of drug paraphernalia.
The sheriff's office noted that Pearson was previously convicted on drug and gun charges.
A second suspect, Jonathan Hogan, 42, was arrested and charged with possession of marijuana, possession with intent to distribute fentanyl, possession with intent to distribute powder cocaine and firearm with CDS. Investigators noted that he was previously convicted.
