BAKERSFIELD, Calif. (KGET) -- Taft residents are being asked to stay indoors after a potentially harmful chemical leak prompted CHP to close South Lake Rd. Wednesday morning, according to the Kern County Fire Department. Taft residents are asked to go indoors and shut and lock all windows immediately. Residents should prepare to self-sustain until further notice.
