Red Flag Warning issued: High brush fire danger
Nov 06, 2024
CHICOPEE, Mass. (WWLP) - A Red Flag Warning has been issued from 8:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. for all of western Massachusetts for high brush fire danger.
Tropical Storm Rafael expected to become hurricane
The morning will be bright and breezy. Clouds will develop early afternoon. There may be a scattered light shower on Wednesday afternoon and evening. Most of us will not get any rain. Remember, brush fire danger continues to be very high on Wednesday. Do not burn outdoors. Make sure smoking materials are completely extinguished before disposal.
High temperatures will be in the mid to upper 70s. The standing record high for November 6 at Westover Air Reserve Base in Chicopee is 75, set in 2020. That record will likely be tied or broken!
Temperatures start to cool down on Friday with highs in the mid-60s and dry conditions through the end of the work week.
