ROCHESTER, N.Y. (WROC) — Democrat Joe Morelle won reelection to New York's 25th Congressional District seat Tuesday.
The Associated Press called the race for Morelle shortly before 10:00 p.m.
Incumbent Democrat Joe Morelle has held the seat since November 2018, following a special election after the death of Rep. Louise Slaughter. He won against Republicans Jim Maxwell in 2018, George Mitris in 2020, and La'Ron Singletary in 2022.
This year Morelle faced Republican Gregg Sadwick. Sadwick is a Navy veteran and president of two Monroe County businesses.
The 25th district contains Monroe County and parts of Orleans County.
