38 STEM Lemoore College students get $300K in scholarships

LEMOORE, Calif. (KSEE/KGPE) - Over $300,000 was awarded to 38 STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics) students at Lemoore College during a ceremony on Tuesday, the college announced.
The $303,086 in scholarships were awarded to the students through the National Science Foundation's S-STEM CORES program for the 2024-2025 academic year. According to officials, the scholarships were awarded during a ceremony on Tuesday, held to celebrate the student's achievements and dedication to STEM fields.
"We're committed to creating pathways for our students to succeed in the rapidly evolving STEM fields," said Dr. Kurt Sterling, Dean of Educational Services at Lemoore College. "These scholarships provide crucial support that allows our students to focus on their studies and seize the incredible opportunities awaiting them in STEM careers."
