Democratic incumbent Roger Armstrong appears to have won his reelection bid for Summit County Council Seat A, based on preliminary results released around 10:20 p.m. on election night.Armstrong received 6,547 votes, or about 54%, appearing to have retained his seat over Republican challenger Tory Welch, who earned 5,159 votes, or about 44%. Summit County Clerk Eve Furse said there’s still a lot left to be counted. She estimated around 41% of votes in Summit County had been counted. The results do not include in-person early votes or votes cast on Tuesday. There is still a lot of mail in ballots left, too. Furse said while several of the races may seem close, the results are still very early. The post Democratic incumbent Roger Armstrong leads Seat A race appeared first on Park Record.
