Democrat Megan McKenna was leading ahead of Republican Ari Ioannides in the election for Summit County Council Seat C based on preliminary results released around 10:20 p.m. on election night. McKenna at that point had received 6,319 votes, or almost 54%, according to the Clerk’s Office. Ioannides had earned 5,387 votes, or about 46%. Summit County Clerk Eve Furse said there’s still a lot left to be counted. She estimated around 41% of votes in Summit County had been counted. The results do not include in-person early votes or votes cast on Tuesday. There is still a lot of mail-in ballots left, too. Furse said while several of the races may seem close, the results are still very early. The post Democratic Megan McKenna leading race for Seat C appeared first on Park Record.
