PORTSMOUTH, Va. (WAVY) -- Many local, state and federal politicians are hosting watch parties while they anxiously await the results. Here are where some of them are celebrating their victories -- or mourn their losses. Sen. Tim Kaine is hosting an Election Night watch party at the Hippodrome Theater in Richmond. Door to the general public open at 6 p.m. His Republican challenger, Hung Cao, is watching from Chantilly, Va. at Westfields Marriott Washington Dulles. Jen Kiggans, the incumbent for Virginia’s 2nd Congressional District is watching from the Westin in Virginia Beach. Rick West running for re-election as Chesapeake's mayor. His watch party is expected to be hosted at Lockside Bar and Grill. Don Carey is expected to watch the results from home. Portsmouth Mayor Race has Mayor Shannon Glover watching from Roger Brown's Sports Bar. Vice Mayor Lisa Lucas Burke invited the public to join her for an Election Night Watch Party at Rivers Casino Portsmouth from 7:30 p.m. to 11:30 p.m. Continue to check WAVY.com for updates.
