BISMARCK, ND (KXNET) — Here's the latest in Election Day races of high interest: President: AP says Donald Trump is the winner of ND's presidential vote The Associated Press is projecting Donald Trump will win the presidential contest in North Dakota, claiming the state's three electoral votes. [ More Details ] Nationally, Republican Donald Trump is leading Democrat Kamala Harris in electoral votes, 230 to 187 by one count. A total of 270 electoral votes are needed to claim the presidency. Governor: AP calls the race for Armstrong The Associated Press has called the race for Kelly Armstrong to become North Dakota's next governor. Armstrong has a commanding lead over Democrat Merrill Piepkorn and Independent Michael Coachman in total votes. [ More Details ] U.S. Senate : AP call Kevin Cramer the winner The Associated Press is projecting Republican Kevin Cramer will win re-election to the U.S. Senate from North Dakota. Cramer has been building a sizeable lead over Democrat Katrina Christiansen in election returns. [ More Details ] U.S. House: AP predicts Fedorchak is the winner The Associated Press is projecting that Republican Julie Fedorchak will defeat Democrat Trygve Hammer and win her first term in the U.S. House from North Dakota. [ Details ] Measure 1: Outdated disabilities name changes has passed The Associated Press projects this initiated measure will pass. With 93 percent of precincts counted, the Yes votes are 270,019 and the No votes total 50,9216. Measure 2: Revised initiated measure plan has failed The AP projects this initiated measure will not pass. With 93 percent of 385 precincts counted, the Yes votes total 133,794, and the No votes total 176,341. Measure 3: Funding processes for Legacy Fund is passing With 99 percent of 385 precincts counted, the Yes votes total 166,247, and the No votes total 155,041. Measure 4: Property tax elimination plan has failed The Associated Press projects Measure 4 will fail to pass. With 93 percent of 385 precincts counted, the Yes votes total 116,846, and the No votes total 203,311. Measure 5: Marijuana legalization effort is failing With 99 percent of 385 precincts counted, the Yes votes total 163,031, and the No votes total 183,221. Bismarck: Local Measure 1, half-cent city sales tax, has passed With 19 of 19 precincts reporting, the Yes votes total 20,814 and the No votes total 14,113. Other Races Of Note Superintendent of Public Instruction: Challenger Jason Heitkamp is leading Incumbent Kirsten Baesler, 176,905 votes to 132,051 votes, with 89 percent of 385 precincts counted. Public Service Commissioner: Incumbent Republican Randy Christmann is expected to win. With 98 percent of the precincts counted, Christmann leads Democrat Tracey L. Wilkie, 229,767 votes to 97,369 votes. State Auditor: Incumbent Republican Joshua Gallion is projected to win re-election, according to the Associated Press. Gallion was leading Democrat Timothy Lamb, 209,704 votes to 88,942 votes, with 88 percent of 385 precincts counted. State Treasurer: Republican Thomas Beadle was running unopposed and has been elected. Insurance Commissioner: Republican Jon Godfread was running unopposed and has been elected.
