BATON ROUGE, La. (BRPROUD) — West Feliciana Parish voters can choose the officials of their cities and towns. The St. Francisville mayor seat is open, as are four aldermen seats. Andrew "Andy" D'Aquilla, No Party, won 56% of the votes over the incumbent Robert "Bobee" Leake, Republican, who drew 44%. Five people were campaigning for the four aldermen Election Section 2, seats in St. Francisville. The four candidates with the most votes will win the seat. Complete but unofficial results show: Abby Temple Cochran, No Party, incumbent: 408 votes (27%) Alden Daniel, Libertarian: 225 votes (15%) Collin Howell, Republican, incumbent: 313 votes (20%) Edgar "Tommy" Wheeler Jr., Republican: 280 votes (18%) John Wilson, Republican: 310 votes (20%) Jerad "Cody" Powell withdrew from the race. Three judicial seats were decided before the primary election in the parish. Democrat John Michael Guidry won his seat as the associate justice for the 2nd Supreme Court District on the Louisiana Supreme Court when his opponents were disqualified. Blair Downing Edwards, Republican, won the race for the 3rd District, Division A seat on the Court of Appeal unopposed. Incumbent Allison Hopkins Penzato, a Republican, also won the Division C race without a challenger. Incumbent Gigi Thomas Robertson, Democrat, will keep her seat as alderman of Election Section 2 in St. Francisville. She was the only one to qualify. On Tuesday, Nov. 5, polls were open from 6 a.m. to 8 p.m. in Louisiana. Election 2024: Louisiana residents say yes to Amendment 1 on the November ballot Nationwide, voters cast their ballot for the next president of the United States. Across the state, voters decided on a proposed constitutional amendment and representation in the U.S. Congress. According to the Louisiana Secretary of State’s office, 22 parishes had local races and propositions; 22 had local races but no propositions; 15 had state and presidential elections only; and five had local propositions but not local races. Any runoff elections will be held on Saturday, Dec. 7.  Early voting for that election will be from 8:30 a.m. to 6 p.m. Nov. 22-30, excluding Sunday, Nov. 24, Thursday, Nov. 28, and Friday, Nov. 29.
