CHECK IT OUT: Election Day across the DMV

WASHINGTON (DC News Now) -- Polls across the DMV opened Tuesday morning, and it didn't take long for people to line up outside of voting centers in D.C., Maryland, and Virginia to vote in their state and local races, and, of course, to cast their ballots in the 2024 Presidential Race.
Here's a look at some of the sights and sounds in the DMV for Election Day 2024. We'll be updating it throughout the day and night!

Angela Alsobrooks (D) and her daughter arrived at the voting location at Wise High School to cast their ballots. Her daughter is a first-time voter.

Former Maryland Governor Larry Hogan (R) and his wife Yumi went to cast their votes in Maryland on Tuesday morning. In a post on X, Hogan said, "Yumi and I proudly cast our ballots this morning at Davidsonville Elementary in Anne Arundel County."

2024 Virginia Election Results
In Burtonsville, just before 8:30 a.m., voters formed a line outside of the Marylin J. Praisner Community Recreation Center.
